As AI continues to evolve and become more integrated into graphic design tools, it’s natural to worry about the future job market. In the short term, I think we’ll see a decline in available positions, as more companies turn to AI to reduce costs and streamline workflow. AI-generated designs will be faster and cheaper, which may make certain traditional roles redundant. However, I believe that, over time, the market will balance out, and we’ll see a more diversified landscape of design jobs.
In the future, I think we’ll see a two-tier job market emerge. On one hand, there will be high-paying roles for highly skilled designers who specialize in creative and complex work, without relying on AI tools. These designers will offer a unique, human touch that AI can’t replicate. On the other hand, there will be jobs that pay less, involving more routine design tasks where AI-generated products need some human tweaking and refinement. While these positions might not get the same pay as the former, they will still require skilled professionals who can guide AI tools effectively and add some finishing touches. Ultimately, AI will change the game, but it will also open new opportunities for both high-end and entry-level design roles. I think it’s just a matter of time.
